Nan All Dismukes

Nan All Dismukes died peacefully on December 3, 2024, at Hospice Savannah.  A native of Savannah, she was born to Anna Mae Hood All and Liston D. All, on June 29, 1930. She was a lifelong member of Bull Street Baptist Church, having been listed on the baby roll as an infant.  Known as "Miss Nan" to generations of children of the Church, she taught the stories of the Bible to children attending 3-year-old Sunday School and was active in adult ministries until her health declined.  A graduate of Savannah High School and Armstrong College, she worked as a Medical Technologist with Dr. Metts, Sr., and for Georgia Regional Hospital. Together with Bernard she was active with Pet Therapy, visiting nursing homes and shut ins.  She was an avid gardener and a member of the Habersham Garden Club. 

She was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband of 57 years, Bernard B. Dismukes; and her daughter, Kathleen McGahey. 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Don Waters; her son-in-law, Tom McGahey; and her brother, Dan All and his wife, Shirley.  Also surviving are her granddaughters, Laura McGahey Van Pelt (Charles), Anne Waters Jackson (Lanier), and Claire Waters Rilee (Stephen), and her great grandchildren, Piper Van Pelt, Thomas and William Jackson, and Robb, Grant, and John Rilee.

A memorial service will be held at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, 7200 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah GA 31406, at 3:00 pm on Friday, December 6, 2024.  Burial will be private.
